Anna Howe has been involved in aged care research and policy for more than 40 years.
Her PhD completed at Monash University in 1982 made a study residential and community care provision across local government areas in Melbourne.
She has since held academic research and Commonwealth government policy positions, and carried out consultancies for government and aged care services, and internationally for AusAid, the OECD and the World Bank.
She is a Presidential Life Member of the Australian Association of Gerontology and an Honorary Professor in the Department of Sociology at Macquarie University.
