How your digital system can support organisational goals and achieve a sustainable business transformation

Technology solutions are recognised today as the key to fluid and ongoing processes, with an integrated digital solution essential to support organisation goals and achieve sustainable business transformation.

Now, many companies are steering away from digital transformation and moving towards business transformation instead.

But what does this look like? And what digital system is your organisation looking to adopt to support your goal and plan to achieve business transformation?

Digitisation the key to business transformation and efficiency

It all starts with a supporting team and understanding your business goals – business transformation is fluid and ongoing and a constant state of change.

Furthermore, the biggest letdown in business transformation and system adoption is change management, as companies haven’t trained up their team or staff.

“Change is difficult” and “takes time,” shared Lumary’s Disability & Aged Care Specialist, Stacey Sincock, at her recent plenary presentation at the Aged Care Digital & Technology Transformation Forum in Melbourne.

“Digital transformation is not just about technology. It’s about business and it’s about people,” Sincock added.

In both aged care and disability, margins are tight, there are staff shortages and there have been two royal commissions.

“Processes are so much more stringent. There’s so much more paperwork and evidence you need to provide,” she noted.

With many aged care operators still relying on paper-based systems, Lumary provides a pathway to digitisation that future-proofs businesses, offering a complete end-to-end care management solution that helps businesses digitise in this complex and ever-evolving environment.

It is a cloud-based technology platform that has been designed and developed specifically for the aged care and disability sectors, which allows for change management, and can be adjusted to suit each organisation, scaled up and down, and adapted to changing circumstances.

A complete care management platform, its software solution helps businesses to transform how organisations operate at every level for successful change management, assisting care providers to support their employees, helping them to deliver quality services to care recipients, and supporting providers to achieve efficiencies and organisational goals.

The business transformation solution also improves the quality of person-centred care delivery, with automated processes freeing up time for staff to spend with care recipients.

More time for care

When businesses engage Lumary, the first step is to identify what they want the software to do, where systems might not be working, where bottlenecks occur and where automation may assist with efficiency – ultimately, freeing up more time for quality, person-centred care.

Existing clients attest to the fact that Lumary’s software helps them achieve their goals in relation to staff and provides an empowered approach to business transformation

“After our successful change management and implementation project, every Ability Options employee uses Lumary, a total of 1,200 employees,” shared Naomi McCorkell, Chief Operating Officer, Ability Options.

Including staff in consultation is vital, explained Sincock. Staff understand the business’s processes “better than anyone” and are in the best position to assess proposed solutions or offer their own suggestions for improved work practices.

Sincock and her team personally guide clients through this important planning process.

“It’s a partnership,” she said. The process of improvement to the systems is ongoing. As businesses and the care environment evolve, so too does the Lumary platform.

The aim is for Lumary to be user-friendly and to free staff up from having to spend too much time on administration and paperwork, giving them greater capacity to deliver care to their clients.

Future-proofing your business

With Lumary’s integrated platform, you can view data in real-time, which helps businesses track all operations and provide information in one place, accessible at their staff’s fingertips.

With a 360-degree view of their clients, home care workers can remotely use the Lumary platform to access real-time, up-to-date care plans and important information before delivering personalised care to a client.

The solution has functionality that supports providers to manage client data from onboarding to claiming, and helps businesses achieve their customer goals too.

It also assists with optimising systems and meeting compliance requirements, which are more important than ever in the wake of two royal commissions.

“Using Lumary’s technology provides us a great foundation for record keeping, ensuring client information is safe and enabling us to tick all the boxes from an auditing perspective,” said Sam Boag, Founding Director, I Can Jump Puddles.

“It’s really given us that scalable platform to be able to grow – our client base has increased from 20 to over 900 in four years.”

Lumary’s software platform also helps organisations achieve their goals in relation to achieving a sustainable business.

“The automatic notifications we receive from Lumary’s integration with PRODA are extremely valuable as they enable us to eliminate rejections when an NDIS plan has expired,” shared Jill Baldwin, Finance Senior, Everyday Independence.

“We can now end our Service Agreements in line with the plan dates, avoiding revenue leakage.”

‘I understand what people are going through’

Sincock has 20 years’ experience working in disability and aged care, so she knows better than most the challenges and obstacles associated with delivering care in both sectors.

“I know their troubles, their pain points, the good and the bad.”

Sincock began her career in aged care where she specialised in dementia care.

It was “so rewarding,” Sincock shared.

She later worked as a lifestyle coordinator and in administration in residential aged care, and then switched to a role in the public sector, supporting providers and participants to transition and navigate to the new National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) at the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA), just as the federal government department was starting up.

“There was a lot of change in that space at the time, and I really got to see and experience that firsthand,” she told HelloCare.

At the NDIA, she helped providers and people living with a disability navigate a complex new system that was rapidly evolving.

“It was quite an experience,” she said.

Today, Lumary proudly values its in-house subject matter experts like Sincock to help aged care and disability companies with the process of business transformation – implementing new technology to help organisations achieve their goals.
