Residents of a rural aged care facility in Tasmania marked the beginning of the holiday season uniquely with a surprise visit from The Christmas Grinch.

During his visit, The Grinch ventured around the Swansea May Shaw Health and Aged Care facility on Tasmania’s East Coast on Wednesday, causing chaos while greeting and hugging staff and residents.

She said it wasn’t the first time the organisation had arranged for a visit from the festive favourite.

“One of our residents in particular described her visit from The Grinch as ‘the best thing she’s seen’ here at May Shaw.”
