Is your social media resonating with your audience?

Contrary to what we may think, digital media isn’t just for the young.

The number of older Australians who are online is rapidly growing, with over 65s the fastest growing demographic on Facebook and Twitter.

Recent research on Australian digital media users found:

67% of over 65s use social media, with 24% using it at least once a day

2.8 million Facebook users are over the age of 55 (1.6 million are aged 55-64 and 1.2 million are over 65

As seniors flock towards digital media, is your business successfully engaging with them?

With the rise of a more customer-centric approach to care, more than ever, care providers need a strong social media presence to truly share with their community the essence of who they are as a business and to stand out against their competitors.

The not so old saying “if you aren’t on social media, do you even have a business?” Rings true more than ever.

It is important for businesses in the care industry to be maximising their reach via social media and online – with the right Facebook content – to increase reach, engagement and brand awareness of their product or service with core customers and audiences in the care sector, including those looking to place a loved one in a home. HelloCare’s social media management team can assist with this.

A vibrant Facebook page or Instagram feed is no longer a nice extra: it’s one of the main ways to reach potential customers and target those who are most likely to be interested in your services. It also connects you to your core customers as you share their inspiring stories, instils brand loyalty, and create opportunities for them to recommend your services to their friends.

Engaging with consumers online can be hard to achieve on your own.

For many aged care companies, finding the time – let alone developing the skills –  to stay on top of digital media is a challenge.

And getting the tone right and knowing the nuisances specific to the care sector can be hit or miss.

We understand the challenges, and that’s why we’re here to help.
