Pfizer and Moderna now available for people over 60 in NSW

Pfizer and Moderna now available for people over 60 in NSW

Although older people across the country have been eligible for the AstraZeneca jab since the beginning of Australia’s vaccine rollout, the fact that this vaccine was not recommended for younger people has created a stigma for many older people that it may be an inferior vaccine.

As a result, a number of older Australians have hesitated to get the jab in the hopes that Pfizer and Moderna jabs may become available to them.

Over the past month, the Pfizer vaccine has become available to over-60s in Queensland, Western Australia, South Australia, Tasmania, Northern Territory and now NSW.

Pfizer is not yet available to over-60s in Victoria and the ACT.
