TikTok Rockettes Nana (1)

In a TikTok video that has been watched over one million times, Hoefling sets the scene with a caption that states, “Has NO idea what surprise is coming her way.”

The video shows Hoefling and her grandmother watching the Rockettes on television, a troupe the grandmother first saw in New York when she was only 12.

“I went for my birthday,” she explains, looking elegant in a full-length, apricot coloured dress.

“Here we go…” the video announces, just as Hoefling hands her grandmother a piece of paper with details of a hotel booking in New York.

“We’ve got a hotel tomorrow night…  And I got us tickets to the Rockettes,” Hoefling announces.

“No! Did you really?” the grandmother exclaims. “I can’t believe it. Oh my god!” she says, her absolute surprise clear.

“Dreamz come tru galz, trip to NYC here we come,” the video caption states.

“What a wonderful gift, Shelby,” says a voice off camera – and it’s obvious the thoughtful gift is deeply appreciated.

“Happy tears,” the video caption reads.

“I THINK she’s excited,” the caption states.

Nearly 10,000 people have commented on the video, including The Rockettes themselves!

“Our hearts are bursting with joy. We can’t wait for you to see the show today! We are working on a special surprise for you,” The Rockettes posted in the comments on the video.

“Absolutely wonderful! Hope you have a wonderful time seeing the Rockettes,” writes another viewer.

“The more she said, ‘I can’t believe it,’ the more I cried,” said another.

We agree! It’s hard not to be moved by the genuine emotion in this beautiful video.
